Lewinson Arts goal is to spread art all over the world, in the page Amigos a los que les gusta Lewinson Art, every month chooses an artist to interview, in March 2024, the artist Afsa Messaoudi was choosen, for the quality and beauty of his art works, congratulations.

1. Where are you from?

I am from Algeria and I live in Holland.

2. In your artistic life what interesting experiences have you had? 

I am self-taugt.

3. What interests you to express in your art work?

After a bad experience I started to paint.

4. Do you have a special style?

No, I don't have a special style but I like abstract and colorful.

5. Have you had an exhibition that you consider the most important or interesting, for some reason? 

I currently exhibit at the DVA gallery in Enschede and at the kunstkring Alexander whereby I am a member and regulary exhibit my work. Both located in Holland.

6. What are your favorite artists and why?

I like Picasso, Kandinsky, Olivier Mass, Gerard Jonas, John Beckley among others.  I am attracted by the explosion of colors.

7. Do you want to transmit some message with your work?

Own style, yea maybe, I will send an example in the attachment, those are some of them. I like to try a little bit of everything and let the public show their own emotion when they see my work. 

8. What does art mean in your life?

Painting means freedom to me. when I pick up my brush I live in another dimension.

9. Which techniques do you like to work with? 

I use different techniques. Brush, knife, paste, flowing paint, sand, splashes and so on a lot. usually acrylic paint sometime oil. What I feel at that moment.

10. What would you do to bring art closer to people?

I would make art affordable so that everyone can enjoy it.
