1. Where are you from?

1. Indonesia.

2. What interesting experiences have you had in your artistic life?

2. I create sketches and paintings in nature every day. When I create, I often feel the pulse of human life and its various problems.

3. What interests you in expressing your art?

3. I am drawn to themes from everyday life because I see and experience many of life's problems.

4. Do you have a particular style?

4. The style I use in creating my work is Expressionism.

5. Have you ever held an exhibition that you considered particularly important or interesting, for some reason?

5. Yes, I often participate in various exhibitions, either in groups or with other artists, and have held several solo exhibitions. My most important solo exhibition was at the Lampung Provincial Cultural Park. Besides the fact that Indonesia was in a difficult situation at the time, with political unrest that was very worrying, I was also very happy to be able to share my experiences and provide appreciation to people outside Java, who at that time were still in dire need of appreciation for art, especially painting, with the people and artists in the Lampung region, located outside Java, Indonesia.

6. Who is your favorite artist and why?

6. I really like the artist Pak Affandi because, in addition to his simplicity in life, he also expresse his soul in his works in a very expressive and soulful way. Pak Affandi is very inspiring and provides me with deep motivation and has provided me with a lot of knowledge and guidance to become an artist.

7. Do you want to convey a specific message through your work?

7. I want to convey moral messages that life is not only about synergy but also about being able to share the various problems of life.

8. What is the meaning of art in your life?

8. Art is the most important part of my life because through art (sketching and painting) I can express my soul or reveal various problems in my life.

9. What technique do you prefer?

9. Initially, I used realism, but as time went on, I felt this technique less and less able to represent my emotions or inner turmoil. I then adopted expressive techniques, even creating sketches using Chinese ink and bamboo pens. For painting, I use acrylic paint on canvas, not a brush.

10. What will you do to bring art closer to the community?

10. For over 12 years, I have traveled to hundreds of remote villages to teach painting to thousands of children and adults. In one village, I even taught painting to women with an average age of over 50. Then, I went to dozens of schools in remote villages.

I called this program "FROM VILLAGE TO VILLAGE" and "FROM SCHOOL TO SCHOOL." I did all.
